Work-well tip for the Week
Cruise to work; enjoy the ride...
Why not use your road-time to your best advantage--it may be the only alone time you get all day.
Try these tips:
- Relax your grip on the wheel--it's not going anyplace.
- Disengage your jaw, placing your tongue on the roof of your mouth.
- Listen to music that makes you happy.
- Listen to books on tape--something uplifting or humorous.
- Do a few shoulder rolls when you're stopped in traffic.
- Breathe deeply and smoothly.
- Smooth your brow.
- Think of a way to make someone smile today--maybe you could even let someone in traffic.
- Tell yourself that you are happy today and plan to stay that way.
R&R for Gardeners
Rule of Thumb, your green one:
Handle your body like you would a garden tool--regular upkeep is necessary for efficiency.
R&R for Travelers
Fold-up stool takes the pressure off
Do you have sciatic pain when you travel?
Recently a friend/client of mine shared her new travel stool which she found in the Travel section of Joseph Beth. Simply putting her feet on it when she is the passenger in a car or plane, takes the pressure off of the gluteal muscles which often compresses the sciatic nerve.
She also uses a small pillow to relieve her neck.
